Frequently Asked Questions

Am I allowed to push my stroller during the race?

Like many in the running community, we believe a fit family is a happy family and allow strollers in our races as long as the course and/or local government allows. However, we do ask that participants with strollers start in the back, refrain from weaving through packs of runners, and yield the right of way to other runners.

We also ask that you not provide a timing chip for your stroller-bound child. We include only official participants who have run the entire course in our results and awards system. Contacting the race director and letting him or her know that your child was inadvertently entered in the results is appreciated.

*Anyone who uses the assistance of wheels is ineligible for awards.

Can my pet run with me?

While we love pets, we ask that you refrain from inviting them onto our race courses if said race is further than 5k or has an excess of 500 registrants. We also ask that any spectating dogs or pets be kept on 5 foot non-retractable leashes.

Is your course USATF Certified?

As of right now, our course is not USATF certified but we are planning on doing so in the future.  We will update this page as soon as that happens.

Can I use my 5K time as a race qualifier for races like Peachtree?

As of right now, you cannot because the 5K is not USATF certified.  As soon as that process is completed (which we hope to do soon), this page will be updated.

Can I get a refund?

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions except for Active Military with deployment orders.

*Prior to race day, we will allow active military with deployment orders to defer registration to a future GoGo Racing event. We will not provide a refund for the difference in pricing, and registrants are also responsible for any price increases or fees.

How exactly does packet pickup work?  Can anyone pick up any other runners' packet?

All participants must submit a signed Release & Indemnity Agreement to receive your runner packet and shirt. If you registered online and submitted the Release and Indemnity Agreement, then you do not need to bring a paper copy.

If you are under the age of 18, you must bring a copy of the Release & Indemnity Agreement signed by a parent or guardian to pick up your runner packet.

In order to pick up another participants packet, you must bring either a printed copy or email on a mobile device of their registration confirmation AND a signed copy of the Release & Indemnity Agreement if it was not signed during online registration. No exceptions.

I didn't get a shirt on race day, can I get one?

Shirts are not guaranteed if you register within eight days of the race (but we are nearly always get you one anyway). No shirts or runner bags will be mailed out after the race, however they are oftentimes available at GoGo Running.

What if I show up late to the race?  Can I still run?

Due to safety concerns from the police, you will not be able to begin the race more than five minutes after the official start.

What is proper race etiquette?

In an effort to ensure maximum enjoyment of all participants involved, we ask that runners comply with standard race etiquette. This includes, lining up at the starting line according to expected race pace, giving right of way to faster runners along the course, and following guidelines given by race officials and volunteers.
As with any social setting, there are many subtle details included in proper etiquette. However, if you abstain from cutting sharply in front of a competitor, refrain from abruptly stopping in the middle of the course to tie your shoe, remember not to hinder others from acquiring water, and are aware of your basic social cues, you will be sure to enjoy yourself and make new friends.

How do you handle weather, safety, and race cancellation?

Our races are held despite rain, wind, sleet, or heat. However, GoGo Racing does retain the right to cancel, shorten, or alter any event or course due to weather, other acts of God, terrorism, or for any other reasons within or without the control of GoGo Racing. All entry fees are non-refundable, and may not be deferred toward a future event.

What if something crazy happens?  Will the race get delayed?

GoGo Racing, in conjunction with the local municipality, reserves the right to delay an event start for any reason, including weather. Typically we will delay up to 30 minutes prior to start if there is lightening. It is unlikely that we will delay for heat, rain, or snow.

What happens if part of the course is under water or is suddenly overrun by wild animals?

GoGo Racing may alter a published course at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, road conditions, runner safety, and local municipality requirements.

Are there any circumstances where this race could be totally canceled?

In the event of extreme weather conditions, GoGo Racing reserves the right to cancel the race or run it as an un-timed fun run without advance notice and as advised by the Police and Fire/EMS Departments. If this should be necessary: prizes may be converted to random prizes. No entry fee refunds will be made. The final decision regarding the fate of the race will be made between 30 minutes to an hour prior to the scheduled start of the race and will be announced over the race public address system.

Who puts this on?  Are you a non-profit?

GoGo Racing is a non-profit 501-c3. Your entry fees cover the expenses of the event and you receive tangible/non-tangible goods in exchange for your registration fee which include a safe and quality event, certified course, timing, scoring, post-race food, and entertainment. Typically, only donations above the registration fees that are made directly to the charity are eligible for tax deductions, however, you should confer with your tax professional.

Is my photo going to be used?

By registering for our events, you agree to the use of your name and photograph in broadcasts, newspapers, brochures, and other media without compensation. Also, we often provide complimentary download of photos and videos taken at our events. These photos are the property of GoGo Racing and may not be used for non-personal use without our expressed written consent.

Where can I go to view photos of the event?

Our Facebook page, GoGoRunning, will have race day photos/videos.  At this time, this is the only platform we use.

I am not very fast... is there a time limit?

We believe we are very lenient but there are pace limits all participants are required to meet.
There is a 1.5 hour time limit (18:00 per mile pace).

Are race awards given out by chip time or by gun time?

Barring uncontrollable or extenuating circumstances, our awards ceremony will begin around 9:30 am.
All awards will be given based on gun time. Chip time is only for your personal enjoyment and record keeping.
